We’re looking for Loan Officers who genuinely care about their clients and take pride in doing things the right way.
Role Overview
We’re hiring a Loan Officer who can confidently own the borrower relationship from first call to closing. This is not a call center. We guarantee a minimum of 100 qualified leads per month. These are high-intent, high-converting leads — not cold lists or call-center scraps. You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support — paired with clear expectations and accountability.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct Discovery Calls using provided leads
- Properly qualify borrowers and complete applications
- Issue pre-approvals and explain loan options clearly
- Confirm rate locks
- Communicate around appraisals
- Deliver final approval and funds-to-close calls
- Make the “Congratulations, you closed” call
- Maintain accurate notes in Encompass/CRM
- Update KPIs daily (leads contacted, apps taken, loans in process, closings)
- Work closely with processing to ensure clean, on-time closings
Performance Expectations
- Minimum acceptable production: 5 funded loans per month
- Consistently closing fewer than 5 loans/month is not acceptable
- Target performance is 11+ funded loans per month
Compensation Structure (Paid on Funded Loans)
Base Salary: $45,000
- 5–7 loans/month → $75,000–$87,000
- 8–10 loans/month → $107,000–$123,000
- 11–15 loans/month → $157,000–$198,000
Requirements
- Active NMLS license (required)
- 2+ years of mortgage loan origination experience preferred
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Client-first mindset
- Organized, accountable, and self-directed
- Comfortable working in-office
- Experience with Encompass LOS preferred
